INSM+

A network for the ocean

Dear Ocean Enthusiasts, welcome to my website! Let me introduce you to the world of Erasmus+, Proposal Writing and the Art of staying sane while working ones way through a 40+ pages long project description form.

How does Erasmus + foster innovation and exchange of good practices?

Most of us are most familiar with the EU's Erasmus + programme regarding exchange programs, enabling students to study for a semester or two at a higher education institute in a foreign country. However, Erasmus + doesn't only offers opportunities for induviduals but also for organisations by bringing different insitutions, schools and cooperations together in order to foster the development of new ideas, the quality of education and the exchange of professional practices and knowledge.

INSM+ Presentation

What is INSM+?

Over six weeks two fellow IMBRSea students (Anastasiya Laznya & Jan Bierwirth) and me put our thoughts and creativity together to develop and formulate a project proposal for an Erasmus Mundus Knowledge Alliance, the result is a detailed description of the "Interdisciplinary Network for Sustainable Development & Innovation in the Marine Environment".

This presentation gives you insights into the up's and down's of this challenging but educational process.

Luckily, similar projects in the sense of our INSM+ idea have already been thought of and developed and a growing community of scientists, cooperatives and businesses already work together for a more sustainable use of the oceans resources, the development of "blue technology" and the education of students and entrepreneurs alike. Here I'd like to share some links with you to cooperations/companies which we came across in our research.
